What is chocolate bourbon pumpkin bread?
Similar to banana bread or coffee cake, chocolate bourbon pumpkin bread is a delicious baked good.
With it’s warm pumpkin spice flavor, it’s perfect for the fall and winter holidays – Thanksgiving, Halloween, and Christmas, in particular – but could be eaten throughout the year.
Chocolate bourbon pumpkin bread can be served as a snack alongside a cup of coffee, or as dessert, or even as part of a bigger meal. The choice is really up to you!
Where does the chocolate bourbon pumpkin bread get its flavor from?
There’s a lot going on in this bread – chocolate, bourbon, AND pumpkin – all working together to create a rich and delightful flavor.
The decadent chocolate flavor comes from the double whammy of Hershey Dark Chocolate Powder and chocolate chips. Not only is the chocolatey goodness baked into the bread itself, but the addition of chocolate chips takes it to the next level!
Pumpkin puree is the main source of the earthy pumpkin flavor, and its flavor is enhanced by the warmth of pumpkin pie spice. This bread is perfect for any PSL fan!
Lastly, the bourbon is the simplest flavor to add, with just the perfect little taste of bourbon added to the batter.
Do you have to use bourbon?
Of course not!
We understand that many people will choose not to drink for many different reasons, including even the smallest amount of alcohol. During times when we are not partaking, such as during pregnancy or while breastfeeding, we either use a substitute or simply omit the alcohol.
In this case, you could either skip the bourbon or replace it with an equal amount of water if you believe your bread will be dry without it.
