Sweet Chili Air Fryer Wings

Try serving the chicken wings with these scrumptious chipotle potatoes and this Carolina coleslaw for a meal that’s packed with flavor!

Prep: 5-7 mins

Cook Time: 15-20 mins

Total: 25-30 mins

Yield: dozen wings

Equipment

Air Fryer

Parchment Paper or Air Fryer Parchment

Measuring Cups and Spoon

Small Saucepan

Ingredients

1.5-2 lbs chicken wings (drum/wing split)

2 tsp salt

2 tsp black pepper

1/3 cup flour

Olive Oil Spray

Sauce:

½ cup sweet chili sauce

2 tbsp light brown sugar

2 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp rice wine vinegar

1 tsp sesame oil

Instructions

Preheat air fryer to 400F, add parchment sheet (optional)

Clean chicken and pat dry

Sprinkle with salt and pepper

Lightly coat in flour, shaking off excess

Add chicken to air fryer, spray with cooking oil

Cook for 6 mins and spritz with cooking oil

Cook for an additional 5 mins and then turn, spritz that side with cooking oil

Let cook for 5-7 additional min until crispy

While the wings are cooking, add all of the sauce ingredients to a sauce pan and bring to a low boil.

Stir or whisk together for 3-4 mins and set aside.

After wings have cooked 15-17 mins, remove them and brush with sauce

Return to air fryer for an additional 4 mins (for a very crispy and sticky wing)

You can skip that last fry time and toss the wings in the sauce if you prefer.

Serve with leftover sauce.

Notes

If your wings are larger or thicker than the ones pictured, you will need to cook them for a longer amount of time until the center has fully cooked.
