If you’re a fan of easy recipes, oatmeal chocolate chip cookies, coconut, peanut butter, and so much more, you’ve just got to try this recipe.
What are Easter Magic Bars?
These Easter magic bars are oatmeal cookie bars, filled with chocolate chips and M&Ms, peanut butter chips, and coconut! Everything is layered on top of a graham cracker crust, leaving you with a delicious baked treat for Easter (if it lasts all the way until the holiday).
Honestly, this recipe is super easy to make! You can buy ready-made graham cracker crumbs for the crust, and once that’s made, you just sprinkle everything else on top.
The pastels of the Easter M&Ms really makes the bars perfect to celebrate Easter and spring. These bars are perfect for spring bake sales, or to wrap up and put in someone’s Easter basket. (Of course, you could also hoard them for yourself – we won’t tell!)
What If I Can’t Find Easter M&Ms?
We’ve provided a link to Amazon below, but sometimes things become unavailable. Does that mean you can’t make these Easter magic bars?
Fear not, there are lots of other great alternatives!
Cadbury Mini Eggs would be a close swap for the M&Ms, plus they have a similar pastel colour palette.
I’m partial to the idea of substituting Reese’s Pieces Eggs, because peanut butter cups are probably the best chocolate ever created. If not those, then I know Cadbury Mini Creme Eggs would be a big hit in this household.
I also saw these Chocolate Pudding Peeps – I would have to experiment, but could you just imagine the ooey gooey melted marshmallow being in these bars? Yum!
(Let us know in the comments if you substituted any other candies, or if you tried the Peeps!)
