Santa Charcuterie Board

Ingredients

  • 1 circle of any round cheese
  • 6-7 string cheese (or Baby Bel cheese rolls)
  • 1 cup Mozzarella balls (want a snack board that’s more on the sweet side? You can use marshmallows instead)
  • 1 cup Blueberries (blackberries would also work)
  • 8-10 slices of deli ham (or beef, turkey)
  • 1-2 cherry tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup Honey
  • 1 cup green olives – If you’re wanting more sweetness instead or maybe aren’t a big olive fan, try using holiday-colored candy like M&M’s.
  • 1 cup Strawberries – Raspberries or cherries would work here too but they tend to be smaller and you might need more. I’ve seen boards where they formed the hat out of pepperoni slices instead – the mini kind would be really fun here.
  • 1/4 cup Almonds – Instead of either of the nuts, you could use other nuts that you prefer. Or how about using some of those mini crackers?
  • 1/4 cup Pistachios
  • Sliced black olives
  • 1 cup Grapes

Instructions

Cut off a little from the bottom of the cheese round to make a semicircle. This will be Santa’s face. Place it on your platter with the corners down.

Add mozzarella balls. This will be Santa’s beard.

Next, add the string cheese to form the moustache and hair. You can braid some of it for the hair if you’d like.

Cut a little bit off a cherry tomato to give it a flat side. Place that on Santa’s face to be his nose.

Make Santa’s hat out of strawberry slices. Make a pompom from one of the mozzarella balls or cut a small round out of the leftover cheese round you made the face out of.

Add a small bowl for the honey.

Place grapes and olives on top and sides.

Make a ham or salami rose (or just place all of the deli meat as desired). Place the rest of the deli meat next to it as shown in the photos. Add nuts and dried fruit if desired. These are great for filling in any empty spaces and rounding out the charcuterie board.

Serve!
