I have loved salisbury steak since I was a little girl. Of course, back then I mostly only ate it from those Swanson frozen dinners. Once I outgrew those, I decided I needed to find my own Easy Salisbury Steak Recipe so I could make it myself.
This one is so simple and so tasty and the gravy is out of this world. I love to serve it with mashed potatoes and peas for that retro diner meal feeling.

Easy Salisbury Steak Recipe

Equipment:
Large Bowl
Large Skillet
Ingredients:
Egg
Condensed French onion soup
Italian bread crumbs
Salt
Pepper
Ground beef
All-purpose flour
Ketchup
Worcestershire sauce
French onion soup mix
Instructions:
In a large bowl, combine egg, 1/3 cup of soup, bread crumbs, salt and pepper to the beef.
Mix with your hands or a large wooden spoon, just make sure its all incorporated
Shape into six patties.
Brown in a skillet over medium heat for 3-4 minutes on each side (it will not be fully cooked, but that’s okay its going back in the heat later)
Poor off any grease.
Pour remaining soup, 1 packet of sweet onion mix, ketchup and Worcestershire sauce into the pain. (use ½ tsp soy sauce if you don’t have Worcestershire)
Mix the flour with ½ cup water and pour in; then stir
Once it thickens pour some into a small bowl of glass measuring cup and then add the patties back in.
Pour the reserved gravy over the patties, cover and cook on low for 15-20 mins.
Be sure to stir occasionally so it doesn’t stick.

- 1/2 cup dry Italian bread crumbs
- 1 teaspoon kosher salt
- 1 tsp pepper
- 1.5 pounds ground beef
- 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 packet dry French onion soup mix
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine egg, 1/3 cup of soup, bread crumbs, salt and pepper to the beef.
