Halloween Bat Frosting Board

This Halloween Bat Frosting Board is so much fun for spooky season! It’s really easy to put together with premade frosting and surrounded by our favorite cookies and other treats. You can also vary the ingredients according to your preferences or what’s available in your area.

It is so colorful that it makes a great centerpiece and snack for your Halloween party. Serve with plates and spoons so everyone can help themselves to whatever parts they’d like.

HALLOWEEN BAT FROSTING BOARD

SUPPLIES NEEDED:

Square Serving Tray

Round Piping Tip

Disposable Decorating Bags

Parchment Paper Sheet

Offset Spatula 

INGREDIENTS:

2 cups Wilton Creamy Decorator Icing, Medium, 16 oz tub

Purple Food Coloring

2 Large Candy Eyes

Black Wilton Sparkle Gel

3/4 cup Mini Marshmallows

4 Hostess Bundt Cakes

4 Brownie Bites

2 Mini Cupcakes

2 Mini Donuts

8 Chocolate Chip Cookies

2 Little Debbie Cosmic Brownies

4 OREO Cookies

12 Mini OREO Cookies

6 Mini Golden OREO Cookies

6 Mini Chocolate Chip Cookies

10 Mini Chocolate Pretzels

1/2 Cup Gummy Pumpkins

8 Purple & Orange Striped Marshmallows

6 Sour Worms

Instructions

Add purple food coloring to the decorating icing and mix until blended and desired color is achieved.

Fit a pastry bag with round piping tip and fill with all of the icing. 

Print bat template, cut out the shape and trace onto parchment paper if desired. Place it onto the center of your serving board. 

Trace the outside of the template (or simply freehand) with icing as if you were drawing. Then fill the entire bat shape in using the same process.

Smooth the frosting surface using an offset spatula. Touch up the shape of the bat if needed.

Add candy eyes. Draw on a tiny mouth. Cut two fangs out of a mini marshmallow and place them under the mouth.

Place mini marshmallows around the entire bat shape to define it.

Add brownie bites to the top right and bottom left corners. 

Add mini bundt cakes to the top left and bottom right corners.

Fill in with rest of open white space with a variety cookies, mini cupcakes and brownies.

Fill in all extra empty spaces with mini cookies, gummy pumpkins, marshmallows, mini marshmallows and sour worms.

Serve your Bat Frosting Board with spoons and plates.

NOTES: This frosting board is best prepared and enjoyed on the same day.
