Bloody Candy Apples

If you love all things spooky, these bloody candy apples are the perfect treat for your Halloween party. They are so easy to make and if you like candy apples, you're going to love this twist on them.
This recipe only makes two apples, so it's just right for making your kids a Halloween treat but it's really easy to increase the recipe to serve more for a party.

Equipment

  • 2 white large lollipop sticks
  • water for boiling
  • 1 saucepan large enough for apples to be submerged

Ingredients
  

  • 12 oz white candy melts
  • 4 tablespoons Betty Crocker red cookie icing
  • 2 apples

Instructions
 

  • Boil water in a small sauce pan big enough to fit the apples.
  • Place the lollipop sticks into the apples. Dip into boiling water to remove waxing. Place aside and let dry.
  • Melt the white candy melts as directed on the package.
  • Dip apples into the candy melts and set on parchment paper.
  • Drizzle cookie icing over the top of the apple. It will drip down the sides. Double those areas to make it really look like it's oozing.
