Ingredients

  • 8 spring roll wrappers or dumpling wrappers
  • 3.5 oz ham thinly sliced (100 g)
  • 3.5 oz roasted pork thinly sliced (100 g)
  • 1.75 oz cheese of choice such as Swiss or provolone (50 g)
  • 0.7 oz pickles thinly sliced (20 g)
  • 2 tablespoons mustard 30 ml
  • Oil for frying

Instructions

Assemble the Filling:

  • Spread a thin layer of mustard in the center of each wrapper.
  • Layer with ham, roasted pork, cheese, and a few slices of pickles.

Roll the Egg Rolls:

  • Fold the bottom of the wrapper over the filling, fold in the sides, and roll tightly to enclose. Seal the edge with water to hold it closed.

Heat the Oil:

  • Heat oil in a deep fryer or large skillet to 350°F (180°C).

Fry the Rolls:

  • Carefully fry the egg rolls in batches for 2–3 minutes, or until golden and crispy. Do not overcrowd the pan.

Drain & Serve:

  • Remove and place on paper towels to absorb excess oil. Serve hot with your favorite dipping sauce.
