Start by unwrapping the chocolate kisses and placing on a paper plate. Set aside in a cool spot so they don't melt.
Combine flour, baking soda, baking powder, and salt in a small bowl and set aside.
In another bowl, use a mixer on medium setting to cream together butter and sugar. Beat in peanut butter and molasses, then egg and vanilla.
Continue to beat, adding in flour mixture gradually until a dough forms. Set aside beater and use your hands to form a ball of dough.
Chill the dough for at least a half-hour so that it's firm enough to work with.
Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
Form small balls and place each on a cookie sheet, about 2 inches apart.
Bake for 8 to 10 minutes to desired doneness. Remove from oven and immediately press a Hershey's kiss into each one. (If you're doing Bear Paws or Dog Paws, press the kiss into the center and flatten the point, then add 4 chocolate chips for "toes".)
Remember, these cookies should not be piled up with other cookies because they're likely to melt into each other. Also, peanut butter tends to take over other flavors. Store separately.
