Chocolate Pecan Pie
This is a sweet, succulent pecan pie with a chocolate finish. Honestly, this recipe could not be easier! After spreading some chocolate across a pie crust, it's basically just stir, pour, and bake.

1 unbaked pie crust ready-made or homemade 1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips minis (or 2 ounces Baker's chocolate shavings) Pie Filling 4 Tablespoons butter 1 cup sugar 1 cup Karo syrup 1 cup chopped pecans 2 eggs beaten 1/4 teaspoon salt Optional toppings: ice cream and/or whipped cream
Prepare the Crust Either make your own pie crust, or use a ready-made crust.
Spread the chocolate chips or shavings evenly in the bottom of the uncooked crust.
Heat the oven to 300°F.
Prepare the Filling Cream the butter and sugar together.
Add the syrup, pecans, well-beaten eggs, and salt. Mix well.
Fill the pie crust with the pecan filling.
Bake, Cool, Serve Bake one hour at 300°F or until well set.
Let cool to room temperature before serving.
Serve with a side of vanilla ice cream or a dollop of whipped cream.
